St. Bartholomew's Church in Newbiggin by the Sea was the picturesque setting for the wedding of Lauren and Ian, a day marked by vintage transport and perfectly timed moments.
The couple's chosen vehicle, a charming vintage 1976 VW Campervan, kicked off the day by picking up Ian and his groomsmen. Despite a forecast promising persistent rain, the early drop-off at the church allowed the groom's party to settle in ahead of the ceremony.
Next, it was Lauren and her bridal party's turn for their pickup. With the driver arriving a good half an hour early, and the pickup location surprisingly close to the church (visible right from the front door!), there was no rush. The driver was warmly invited inside to enjoy a cup of tea and a pleasant chat with the bridal party, adding a personal touch to the pre-ceremony buzz. With precision timing, Lauren was then chauffeured to the church with just one minute to spare, arriving perfectly on cue to meet Ian.
Unfortunately, the rain, which had held off so obligingly, decided to make its appearance after the ceremony. However, this didn't dampen spirits as the newlyweds boarded the vintage Campervan once more. Lauren and Ian were then whisked away to their reception venue at Lough House Farm in Stannington, where all their eagerly awaiting guests were ready to welcome them, ensuring the celebrations continued indoors in warmth and good cheer.
The day perfectly showcased the blend of careful planning and delightful spontaneity, making Lauren and Ian's wedding a truly memorable occasion. We send our warmest wishes to the happy couple!
